While we try to avoid buying or relying on semi prepared products and convenience foods as much as possible, frozen ready rolled pastry sheets have made their way on to my “essentials list”.
I can make my own pastry and I always make my own shortcrust pastry, but when it comes to Puff pastry the readymade are worth the expense as there are so many simple, smart and speedy things I can do with a sheet of two of frozen puff pastry. I use the supermarkets own brand of pastry and the following techniques are just a few of my favourite pastry tricks.
