Moroccan Spice Mix
Makes:This is a versatile seasoning mix that adds a complex savoury flavour that is aromatic rather than "hot" and not too cinnamon-y. It works well with beef, lamb or chicken dishes as well as a seasoning for veggies. I use around 4 Tbsp to 500g meat.
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp cumin, ground
- 1 Tbsp coriander, ground
- 1 Tbsp dried parsley
- 1 ½ tsp paprika, ground
- 1 tsp cinnamon, ground
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp pepper, ground
- ½ tsp allspice, ground
- ½ tsp ginger, ground
- ½ tsp turmeric, ground
- ¼ tsp cayenne, ground
Method
Place all ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Store in an airtight container.
Tip
Since you will likely use several tablespoons at a time, you may want to double the quantity once you have tested it out on the family.
