destitute gourmet - everyday ingredients
The following list is a sample costing guide of a selection of everyday food prices. The prices were correct at the time of writing and are in NZ$ currency. A costing guide is a really useful tool for managing your grocery spend. With an up to date costing guide you can calculate the cost of everyday dishes quickly and easily. Add to this list regular items that you usually buy and their prices. A quick way to check prices is to visit the online shopping websites for your supermarkets and do a “virtual shop”. You can gather loads of prices for products you regularly buy, then jump on the calculator (or get the kids to) and calculate the price for how much you regularly use.
