dg demonstration classes 2010 |

We have been in a process of rationalising dg classes for some time. If you have attended a class you will know just how packed with information, ideas and inspiration they are.
This year we will offer the same terrific classes but we cannot continue to do them at the same price.
Previously we have capped the number of class attendees at 100 people as 100 is the maximum number or “tastes” Sophie can make of each recipe in a class situation.
To make it easier for groups to cover the price increase, we have removed the cap on numbers. Sophie will prepare the same number of dishes usually around 5-6 and offer 100 “tastes” of each dish. So a group of 100 will still taste each dish, a group of 200 will taste 3 dishes a group of 500 will get the opportunity to have a taste of one of the recipes each.
As a host you have the opportunity to sell up to 500 tickets to your event.
We will still provide all the following:
The ingredients
Recipe booklets for 100 people – you can order more by arrangement, an additional charge will apply per quantity.
All the cooking equipment such as pots, pans, serving platters and so on
dg books and merchandise for sale on the night
As before host groups will need to provide:
• A venue with a working kitchen – running water, a functioning oven (doesn’t have to be flash, just has to work, a domestic one with 3 shelves will do), running water and a bench at “bench height” (not a trestle), the bench must be visible and within easy reach of the water and oven
• 2 helpers to assist from when Sophie arrives till the end of the demo –preferably adults but no cooking skill required, just a willingness to assist with prep and do lots and lots of dishes
• A clean up team of 4 to clean up the kitchen at the end and help pack the equipment
• Around 15 old tea towels for drying dishes
• 4 people to jump up during the session and pass platters around - very easy
• Side plates and forks – disposables are fine
• Drinks during and after the event
• A table for, and someone to look after the book sales during the night for Sophie as she cannot do that and talk to your guests
